Latino Outreach Consulting of NC, Inc. was founded in 2005 by Arianna M. Aguilar in Smithfield, NC in response to the need of translation and interpretation services in the area.

There is one staff interpreter, and we work with a pool of subcontract interpreters and translators available throughout the United States.

About Arianna

Arianna graduated in 2000 in Western New York with a communication and graphic arts degree. She honed her interpreting skills through hands-on experience and training in the mental health, education, and child care fields. 

In 2006, she obtained certification in the State of North Carolina as a certified legal interpreter, and served as an interpreter for criminal and civil cases in District and Superior Court in North Carolina, including cases with high media coverage.  She also served as interpreter and translator for the Eastern District of North Carolina Federal Public Defender’s Office.

In 2008 she began offering interpreter training and instituted a mentoring program within her company to benefit novice legal interpreters. 

In 2009 she was appointed as lead interpreter in the 11^th Judicial District Harnett County District and Superior Court in North Carolina.  She also was chosen by the American Translator’s Association to be a presenter at the 50^th Annual Conference held in October, 2009 in New York City. The presentation and paper, titled “Mental Health Interpreting: Unique Challenges and Practical Solutions” is leading to further projects for innovations in the field and the development of best-practices for mental health interpreters.

In 2010, she was hired by the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts as the Staff Interpreter for the 11th Judicial District (Johnston, Lee and Harnett Counties).
